Electro Uk Ltd was formed in October 2005 as the result of a divisional seperation from the former company Valco Uk Ltd founded in 1988 with mechanical and electronic divisions, The Mechanical division specialised in the manufacture of precision engineered metal and plastic parts, while the Electronics division concentrated on the manufacture of precision surface mount and conventional Electronic assemblies, Electronic safety systems and commercial quality electronic products, finding many different end user markets.

We have supplied to the Railway safety industry, requiring very high reliability products, with full traceability ISO9002, Electronic equipment, power supply units, Cable Looms, and mechanical assemblies to the telecommunications and ministry of defence industrys, Electronic assemblies to the automotive industry, finding applications in vehicle LED lighting, Keyless door lock systems, inflatable lumbar support seating, and in cab lighting and many different commercial products, ranging from air conditioning units, Home security, process control, white goods, 3 phase power monitoring, battery charging, thermal protection devices, emergency back up lighting, Radio telementry, Gaming machines, Video test card generation and many more.

Electro Uk have also been involved in the design of several products, both individually, and with customers, working with Hawker Sidderley to produce a reduced cost tapchanger controller, used to control mains electricity distribution over the National Grid. We designed the WL50, an LED technology aircraft obstruction beacon, giving significant efficiency and operational life advantages over the earlier neon tube types.

Valco Uk is now owned by Garreth Irwin who was formerly the production manager, so has retained his vast knowledge in the products, and is still in communication with both his suppliers and mechanical customers.

Electro UK and Valco UK still work very closely together to enable us to provide the same high level of service to our customers both in the electronics and mechanical aspects of the former buisness.
